I first found about Supporting Humanity in covid when my sister passed. I was contemplating how to go about arranging a funeral and had no knowledge as to what to do. The Imam at the hospital gave me Idris Patel’s number alhamdullilah he was amazing and informative. He guided me through all the paperwork and arranged the whole Janazah, alhamdullilah. I used Supporting Humanity again for my Mums Janazah and a few days again for my Dad’s Janazah. Each time the delivery of their service as been excellent and hassle free. I can’t thank them enough.

We definitely need to spread the word about all the amazing work they do and help raise donations for all the worthwhile causes they fund. As well as acting as funeral directors, they run Ghusl workshops, art therapy for kids and adults, have an elderly get together every Thursday and in Ramadhan raise money from bake sales and restauranslts providing food for iftar and so much more. Please inform your families and friends and help the variety of assistance given under the umbrella of Supporting Humanity.

I was very reluctant to join the class as I felt embarrassed, I had not kept in shape and the last time I had participated in any kind of group exercise was during PE at school, which was many decades ago!

I was encouraged to attend by my daughter, who had joined a few months ago and was finding it really beneficial. She reassured me that it was a safe place with no judgement, ladies only and is attended by all abilities and ages.

I am so glad I did! I have being going since the new year and I LOVE it!

The class has a very friendly vibe, a great instructor Nasim and volunteer Salma is always ready to greet you a with a smile at the door.

I really enjoy the yoga and breathing exercises, and the spiritual element, relaxation and weekly quotes are so inspiring, I find myself reflecting back on them during the week and I am definitely beginning to feel more relaxed and fitter.

I extend my deepest gratitude to Idris and his team for the compassionate care they provided our late grandmother, from the moment of her passing until her final farewell. When our beloved grandmother passed away at home, we reached out to Supporting Humanity after hours, at a time when local mosques were unavailable, and they responded without hesitation. They ensured she was laid to rest with the utmost dignity and respect. Idris was meticulous in upholding Islamic etiquettes and thoughtfully guided the female family members on the proper, respectful preparations for her transportation. Throughout the entire process, he remained in close contact with me, offering unwavering support and reassurance until the day of the funeral. From the bottom of my heart, I cannot thank him and his dedicated team enough.
