Salaam, on the death of my brother, Supporting Humanity played a pivotal role in the coordination and delivery of my brother to his next abode – the grave. I would firstly like to thank brother Idris on his extensive work and connections to make our families life easier. He undertook the whole difficulty of liaising with the various elements/departments in getting the body released. His involvement expedited this difficult process, in order we could rest our brother at the earliest opportunity. May Allah reward them all in abundance.

I still want to know, how after being told by the coroners officer the paperwork would be provided on Monday, you got the coroner to provide it on Friday.

Allah chooses people for this work. Don’t be disheartened through the pains, he will always help you along the journey.

The first time I received the call from Idris Patel I was relieved. He knows everything that needs to be doing and he guides me all along the way. He has been very supportive and always answered my calls. His team is courteous and efficient. I am very glad that he is helping myself and my family during my husband passing.

Supporting Humanity assisted our family during the burials of our father in January this year (2024) and then our mother in November, just 10 months later.

I was initially put in touch with the charity by Abdul Rahman, the Iman attached to Newham General hospital, where my father passed away. Not being familiar with the obligations of an Islamic funeral and never having to deal with the death or burial of a loved one before was a confusing and scary place to be.

From the moment we contacted Idris, he took over and guided as through the entire process step by step, including advising us how to deal with the various departments to ensure our parents were laid to rest as soon as possible, in-line with Islamic obligation. Without the Charity, we would have been lost and perhaps made errors in meeting the requirements. This took some of the stress out of both sad and emotional occasions.
